Privacy Policy

A note from the TinyFlash team

This Privacy Policy covers the TinyFlash website at tinyflash.org and all TinyFlash browser extensions. We practice data minimization: our extensions do their work on your own device, we collect the least information possible, and anything personal or sensitive stays on your device and never reaches us. We do not sell your data, do not run ads, and do not track your browsing.

Our principle: data minimization

TinyFlash extensions are built to do their work on your own device. We collect the least information possible, only what is strictly needed to keep our extensions working, and nothing that identifies you.

Your data stays on your device

Everything an extension reads to do its job, including order history, page content, account details, addresses, and any other personal or financial information, is processed entirely in your browser, stored only on your device, and never transmitted to us. We cannot see it, and we never sell or share it. You can clear all locally stored data at any time from the extension's options page, or by removing the extension from Chrome.

What we do collect

To keep our extensions working when websites change, an extension may send a small amount of anonymous technical diagnostic data, for example whether a page layout was handled successfully and aggregate, non-identifying usage counts. This contains no personal information and nothing that identifies you or your activity. Where an extension offers this, you can turn it off from its options page.

The TinyFlash website does not set advertising cookies, does not embed third-party analytics that profile you, and does not track you across other sites. If you email us, we use your name and email address only to reply.

We do not

  • Collect or transmit your personal, financial, or sensitive information.
  • Track your browsing history or build a profile of you.
  • Use advertising, third-party analytics, fingerprinting, or trackers.
  • Sell, rent, or share your data.
  • Use your data for creditworthiness or lending decisions.

Affiliate disclosure

Some TinyFlash extensions take part in retailer affiliate programs and may earn a commission on qualifying purchases, at no extra cost to you. This keeps our extensions free and is entirely separate from how we handle your data.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated “Last Updated” date at the top of this page.

Third-party websites

Our extensions run on third-party websites that you choose to visit. Those sites have their own privacy policies that govern how they collect and use your information. We are not responsible for those practices and we encourage you to review each site's privacy policy.

Service providers and disclosure

Because we do not collect your order data or browsing data, we have nothing of that kind to disclose. Any anonymous diagnostic data is processed solely to operate the service by:

  • Vercel, our hosting provider.
  • Upstash, for short-lived aggregation.

Both are bound by their own published privacy policies and process only the anonymous data described above, retained in aggregate for a limited period and then deleted. We do not share this data with advertisers, marketers, or other third parties. We may disclose information if required by valid legal process, but in practice we have nothing to disclose: we do not have your name, email, account, or order content on our servers.

Age restriction

TinyFlash products are intended for users 18 years or older. We do not knowingly collect any data from children under 18. If you believe a child has used one of our extensions and you would like any associated local data cleared, removing the extension from Chrome will delete all of its local storage immediately. For email-based inquiries on behalf of a minor, contact hello@tinyflash.org.

Non-U.S. users

If you are outside the United States, the limited anonymous diagnostic data described above may be processed in the United States by our hosting providers. Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights under the GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA, or similar laws to access, correct, or delete your data. Because we do not collect personal, order, or browsing data, the only data potentially subject to these rights is the anonymous diagnostic data. To exercise any rights, contact us at the address below.
