Tried to download your eBay purchase history? You’ve probably noticed eBay’s own export tool caps at the last two years. Every other browser extension hits the same wall. Order History Downloader doesn’t. OHD calls eBay’s underlying buyer-side endpoint with the same 22-year filter eBay uses internally, meaning every purchase back to your account’s earliest order, in one CSV, in under a minute.

Why eBay’s own UI caps at 2 years

eBay’s purchase-history page shows roughly two years of orders by default. Older orders surface only via a search-by-item-ID flow that’s clunky and incomplete. eBay’s CSV export tool (Seller Hub) only covers seller-side transactions, not buyer-side purchases. For buyers who want a clean record of everything they’ve ever bought on eBay, the platform itself offers no good path.

Order History Downloader reaches further than that UI. From your signed-in eBay account, the import walks back through every year on file, up to 22 years, and returns one continuous CSV instead of a series of stitched two-year exports.

How OHD unlocks 22 years

OHD ships with a content script that activates on ebay.com/mye/myebay/v2/purchase. When you click Import, OHD sends the same AJAX call eBay’s own page sends, but with year_filter: ALL_22_YEARS. eBay returns paginated JSON. OHD walks every page and converts each order into a row. The result lands in the OHD viewer in a tab, sortable, searchable, exportable.

No reverse engineering, no scraping, no DOM tricks. OHD uses the same endpoint eBay’s own page uses. It just asks for more.

How to use it (step-by-step)

  1. 1. Install OHD

Add Order History Downloader from the Chrome Web Store. Free Chrome extension, Manifest V3, runs in Chrome, Edge, Brave, Arc, Vivaldi, and Opera.

  2. 2. Sign in to eBay

Visit ebay.com/mye/myebay/v2/purchase. OHD uses your existing browser session, no eBay password ever reaches the extension.

  3. 3. Click the OHD icon in the toolbar

Or press Cmd+Shift+E (Mac) or Ctrl+Shift+E (Windows or Linux). The popup opens pre-aware that you’re on eBay and shows the year-filter dropdown.

  4. 4. Pick “All 22 years”

The dropdown offers Current year, Last year, Last 5 years, Last 10 years, and All 22 years. Pick the deepest option to capture your full account history.

  5. 5. Click Import

The popup closes and a small floating chip appears in the bottom-right corner of the page. The chip walks every page of the AJAX response and shows live progress.

  6. 6. Open the viewer when the chip says Done

Click Open on the chip, or press Cmd+Shift+E again. The viewer renders every eBay order in the Orders tab.

  7. 7. Sort, filter, group, or export

CSV for tax software, Excel for bookkeeping, bulk PDF for invoice archives. All three formats are produced from the same imported dataset, so the export choice is downstream.

What gets captured per order

Order History Downloader captures every field eBay’s buyer-side purchase-history feed exposes:

  • Order ID
  • Order date
  • Total + currency
  • Item titles (per line)
  • Item quantities + unit prices
  • Seller name
  • Order status (delivered, pending, cancelled, etc.)
  • Tracking URL where eBay surfaces it
  • Direct link to the order detail page on eBay

Per-order tax, refund, and payment-method breakouts live on a separate detail page that’s not part of the buyer-side feed. If those fields matter for your workflow, send us a note from the extension’s Feedback tab and we’ll take a look.

Use cases

1099-K filing

The IRS lowered the 1099-K threshold to $5,000 in 2024. Many casual eBay sellers and buyers now need lifetime transaction history for record-keeping. OHD captures every purchase with date and amount, so the export drops cleanly into your tax software. For the broader tax-prep narrative, see Amazon order history for taxes, the same column shape applies.

Reseller bookkeeping

Resellers who source inventory on eBay need a clean CSV of cost-of-goods, dated, per item, with the seller name preserved. OHD’s per-row export is bookkeeping-grade. Group by month for monthly P&L. Filter by seller for vendor-level reporting. Sort by date for chronological matching against your sales records.

Lifetime spend audit

“How much have I spent on eBay since 2010?” OHD answers in 60 seconds. The Insights tab shows spend by year, top sellers by total, and category trends inferred from item titles. For a yearly Amazon spend equivalent, see Amazon yearly spending report.

Account migration

Moving accounts? Export the full history first. The new account starts blank, so the only path to preserve your buying record is to capture it before you switch.

Common questions

Does this work on eBay UK, Germany, Canada, Australia?

Yes. eBay support covers eight TLDs: .com, .co.uk, .de, .fr, .it, .es, .ca, and .com.au. If your TLD doesn't import, send us a note from the extension's Feedback tab and we'll dig in.

Will this trigger an eBay sign-in challenge?

Sometimes. eBay occasionally asks for a sign-in mid-import on long pulls. The OHD chip handles this with a Resume button. Sign back in to eBay in another tab, click Resume, and the import continues from where it stopped.

Can I import only the last year of eBay orders?

Yes. The popup year filter offers Current year, Last year, Last 5 years, Last 10 years, and All 22 years. Pick the one that matches the report you need.

What if I'm an eBay seller, not a buyer?

Order History Downloader captures buyer-side purchases. For seller-side transactions, use eBay's own Seller Hub CSV export, which is a separate tool.

Why can't I see tax, refund, or payment method per eBay order?

eBay's buyer-side purchase-history feed exposes the order line, item, total, currency, seller, and date, which is what gets captured today. Per-order tax, refund, and payment-method breakouts live on a separate detail page that we don't read at this time. If those fields matter for your workflow, send us a note from the Feedback tab so we can prioritise.
