Frequently asked questions
Is Order History Downloader available on Microsoft Edge?
Yes. Order History Downloader has its own listing on the Microsoft Edge Add-ons store, with the same code and the same features as the Chrome build. Install it like any other Edge add-on.
Does the Edge build support every retailer the Chrome one does?
Yes. Amazon (10 storefronts), eBay (22-year buyer-side lookback), Target, Costco, and Apple Receipts. The export options are identical: CSV, multi-sheet Excel, bulk PDF zip.
Will my Chrome data carry over if I switch?
No. Edge and Chrome each store extension data in their own browser profile. If you switch, run a fresh import in Edge from each retailer. Your Amazon Privacy Central data ZIP can also be dropped into the Edge popup to backfill orders older than what Amazon currently shows.
Does Edge get updates at the same time as Chrome?
Releases ship to the Microsoft Edge Add-ons store at the same time as the Chrome Web Store. Microsoft reviews Edge submissions independently, so the published version sometimes lags Chrome by a day or two during reviewer queues.
Why not just install the Chrome Web Store version on Edge?
You can, but Edge users get a smoother experience installing from the Microsoft Edge Add-ons store: native install flow, automatic updates from Microsoft's catalog, and no permission-bar warnings. The Edge Add-ons listing exists specifically so Edge users don't have to detour through the Chrome Web Store.
